Animal Crossing Next Mainline Game Wishlist

Apologies if this gets posted twice, my laptop abruptly kicked me off the internet after I hit post reply.

I don't really know? New villagers would be nice. Varied dialogue too. As long as they let the player decide if and when a villager moves out of our plot of land, I'll be happy. I'm glad I can let my island gather dust for months and no one will suddenly be gone when I load it up again.

I would also enjoy more things to collect. Creatures, art, fossils, gyroids, anything goes. (❁´◡`❁)

Yes. I would actually attempt to get every single gyroid if this became a thing. I’ve had almost no use for them otherwise.

I just want the villagers to have a better AI, be mean and cruel again like in gamecube, better multiplayer features, a return to better hourly music (aka redemption from New Horizons), the name not be "New ______", and in general they need to figure out how to not trade charm and immersion for customization. I'm probably in the minority but I don't like the idea of being my village/island's god, I just want to feel like a part of it and not be able to control every single element.

Also I would love to be able to choose a specific "biome/environment type" for your map. Forest, Mountain, Desert, Grasslands, Swamp Rainforest, and Urban.

Since we have done trains and planes I would love a hot air balloon themed character (or even a parade of hot air balloon events and being able to customize yours).

Bat and Reptile villagers are very overdue. Maybe one or two other animal types as well. They NEED a shark NPC character. Maybe some shark guy who holds a diving contest the way there are fishing and bug catching contest NPC characters.

I would like to see NPC characters have storylines somehow.

And lastly I think it's a no brainer that there needs to be a new wing of the museum dedicated to donating every type of gyroid.

This seems like it'd be a good fair balance. I understand why the older dialogue might not fly with young kids as much now, but I definitely would love the option for it myself. There was a lot more personality to each of the animals when they were more... direct - shall we say.

i like new leafs villager system so many more thing to do with them ad u have to set up when to come to ur house also instead offfFBI OPEN UPbusting down your door also i love that they are still nic webut have angry dialougue too

More villagers please: I would love to be able to have more villagers maybe 15.

More shops and shop upgrades: I love when all the NPC’s had their own shop. I would love to see all of them return. Celeste could have her observatory back.

More fruits and veggies. I love making gardens. I would also love all the really great plant items from new leaf back.

Being able to place small and medium rugs outside. I think some of them would look better outside and would cut back on the amount of designs. Also being able to put wall items on cliffs.

Villager dialogue: I want more back and forth with villagers. Most of the time they ask you a question but you usually don’t get the option to give an answer.

Mini games you can play with both villagers and friends.

Reese being able to customize wallpaper and flooring. There are are some really nice wallpaper and flooring but sometimes they are the wrong color. Since we can recolor furniture I would love to recolored walls and floors to go with them.

That’s it for now will probably think of more things later .

yeah i agree with gyroids, i don't collect them because i dont like the noise in my house so i just sell them

New Villager Species: Lioness, Bat, and Dolphin

If terraforming becomes a staple in the series moving forward it needs a massive overhaul so it's not so excruciating to do. Same with crafting. We need a way to jump between crafting and customizing without having to reenter and exit. And pulling resources from pockets and storage. There's just so much unnecessary bloat that undermines that QoL upgrades that NH did do right.

Also mini-games during multiplayer again. This game had the most content locked behind a online paywall, but lacked anything really substantial.

Yes. I would actually attempt to get every single gyroid if this became a thing. I’ve had almost no use for them otherwise.

PLEASE? I never understood why that wasn't a thing. I love collecting them, was so excited when they came back. I'd love to have an entire wing to display them.

As for what I would want in the new game (and apologies if anyone said any of these before/already!)

- Better villager AI. New Leaf felt way way more immersive with the villagers, New Horizons kind of made them feel like decoration. I'd love to see snooty and cranky actually BE that way, but maybe gradually warm up as friendship increases? I'd also love to see them have individual personalities again, like... favorite items, hated items, etc.
- More to do with our villagers. Like maybe throwing parties and inviting them, etc. Bug catching/fishing contests the villagers take part in too? I'd love more to do when the villagers are sick too, LIKE LET ME MAKE THEM SOUP? PLEASE?
- More to do with friends in multiplayer. Mini games, party games, etc.
- More hair styles, more clothes. I want the same level of love pocket camp got. No, that's a lie. I want more.
- I want more villagers, too. New ones. Not just a handful of new ones, but a decent chunk. And bring back old ones, too.
- Maybe a new villager personality?
- Either more villager spaces, or the option to convert player houses to villager houses. For example, I am the only one who uses my switch. Why not let me just convert the houses other 'players' would have to houses villagers can live in? It's optional, soooo.
- A slightly bigger map. Not much. Just a lil.
- Bring back a bigger Nook store. I miss browsing the aisles!!!
- Allowing to adjust the sizes of your houses rooms would be nice.
