'Your town name here' had finally had the election for a Mayor. It was either Tortimer or Isabelle. Tortimer had won and Isabelle got angry. She hired someone to follow him. Eventually, it drove Tortimer to what everyone else thought was Insanity, as nobody else would see this 'mysterious person'. He couldn't run as Mayor because of this. In addition, they shipped him off to the island like it was a Nursing Home. Isabelle had to take over, since she would've been mayor if Tortimer lost. But, she was very very cruel to the villagers. They decided to get rid of 'The Queen' and deny her power. But everyone realized they had no one to lead them, but Isabelle thought of this as the time to strike. She waited until someone would move into the town, claim they're the mayor, and control what they do. This explains why she tells you where you can and can't place your PWPs, or enact 2 ordinances. She wants HER perfect town, and all she needed is someone unsuspecting. It also explains why the player never gets paid. Isabelle is probably taking the player's paycheck, and using it for her own stuff. She also does alot of stuff behind the scenes that we don't know of.
Do you think this theory is true? Feel free to write why it is or isn't true.

Especially since Isabelle is literally the sweetest thing?? The only thing that DOESN'T make sense, honestly, is why you don't know you're mayor when you step off of that train. And why nobody questions it afterwards.

Nah, people love theories. Whether they be conspiracy or not, people like shedding light into the unknown. It's just human nature.

Seems kinda cliche and way to over the top which doesn't really make for a great conspiracy theory.

Taking a page from yuriofwind, you can see how one wouldn't really enjoy something like BS creepy pasta, since it's just way to much, and this theory just doesn't fit.

I love Isabelle... I personally believe the theory that Rover was supposed to be Mayor, but he sent you to the town instead cause he didn't want to be.

To be honest, this was all a joke, I wanted to make some of my friends lol. I don't believe it would be THAT extreme, but I do have a theory that Isabelle was originally going to be mayor, but was to afraid.

Where you make up backstories, traits, events, plot bunnies concerning your town that don`t necessarily happen haha. I can sympathize since I`m very prone to that, and the backstory behind my mayor and certain villagers are generally on the darker side and are kind of too depressing for the cheery and lighthearted`canon game`. Enjoy the things you make up in your head if you want! since they probably won`t be ``true`` to anyone except yourself, especially if it concerns a common domain character like Isabelle.

I`m new to TBT and communities differ a lot, this one seems a little less into that stuff; but hey it`s fun. I love hearing headcanons about people`s towns.



This is on a smaller scale but certain `headcanon theories`include stuff like ``julian is blind`` (which is one I really like ahaha...poor julian 8`D)
