Animal Crossing New Leaf or Animal Crossing Jump Out?

In Japan, the game is called Jump Out, whilst it's "New Leaf" for most other countries. Which name do you think is better?

New Leaf, I like the pun. I don't get the Jump Out pun though. I get its a fresh start like New Leaf, but its not as funny.

I'm sure "Jump Out" refers to the fact that the game is in 3D being on the 3DS and all that.

I went with "New Leaf" because it keeps the nature theme and from what I hear this game is pretty different from previous versions.

"Jump Out!" makes me think of an Animal Crossing workout video with all the animals doing squats and yelling "C'mon, Mayor! Five more until a water break!"

New Leaf sounds a lot better in English but that's to be expected because translating something word for word from another language often just sounds wrong because of subtle differences in word meanings/associations and the way they are used. I'm sure if you translated New Leaf directly into Japanese, the result would sound a bit weird to native Japanese speakers, and they'd much prefer their version.

Jump Out kinda sounds dumb, tbh, sorta like a little kids game, AKA "Jump Start". I dunno, I like New Leaf better because it just fits the tone of the game plus, it's punny ^0^

I'm pretty positive the Japanese title is meant to be a pun as well of some sort. Especially with how much Japan clearly loves wordplay.

It just isn't as noticeable due to lack of understanding of the language, which could probably apply vice versa for our title if someone from Japan was to look at it.

All I can think of is what Story said, and a new start. Not sure what other pun there could be, my Japanese isn't that strong. But now knowing that, I like the pun.

Jump Out doesn't make much sense to me. Maybe it makes more sense in Japanese and just doesn't translate well.

I prefer New Leaf. It just sounds nicer to me and I like the pun.

To be honest, New Leaf.
I get the Jump Out pun it's obviously a 3DS game (I can't believe that people don't get it), it's just that the game's 3D is pretty shallow in this game compared to other 3DS titles out there.
The New Leaf pun works, because the game's mechanics are much different than past games and it does work.

Pretty much.
As far as I know tobi means jump, leap, fly, spring, etc. Depends how its used it can also mean jumping suddenly "right in your face". Which meaning the 3D (how did I not notice this pun earlier...).
Jump Out also has the same meaning as New Leaf, a new start. But I am not very good at explaining it sorry.
