I was wondering which Animal Crossing New Leaf Box people have (or icon if you bought the game digital), the orginal Animal Crossing New Leaf Box/logo, or the Welcome Amiibo Box?

I have the Original New Leaf Box.

I have both now. I originally just had the original boxes, but while shopping for Christmas gifts for people this last week, I decided to pick up another copy because I have some villagers who I wanted to adopt who didn't fit in any of my 4 New Leaf towns for various reasons (towns had themes, 10 villager limit, etc.) and who I also wouldn't be able to adopt in New Horizons since I've already basically picked out who I plan to have in that game. This copy is a Nintendo Selects edition of the Welcome Amiibo box.

I have both. My original copy was bought on release date in 2013, which currently holds the town of Taiga. Then years later, I bought another copy which has the Welcome Amiibo art, which holds the town of Fireleaf.

I own the original box, since I bought the game used back in 2014. I personally like the original boxart more, I love amiibos but I don't like games that advertise themselves as being centered around them.

I own both with the original being purchased on release day.

I own both as well. I bought the original New Leaf first, though, so that's how I voted, but I bought a copy of Welcome Amiibo earlier this year to start up my second town.

Both. My mom is currently using my original copy, while I have the Welcome Amiibo copy. I like the original copy picture better, but the Welcome Amiibo one is not too bad either. :)

I have the original box still in good condition. I never thought of buying a second copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf. I could hardly manage one town, even with fast forwarding time and such. I am wondering, however, if there's a difference between the original copy of New Leaf and Welcome amiibo when it comes to plot reset. I have trouble getting villagers to move in to the empty areas I set for them, regardless of which tutorial I follow, while I read it's easy for other players. So maybe it relates to the version?

Two originals. One from release date and another from around 2015 or early 2016

I don't think there's any difference when it comes to plot resetting. I don't have any trouble at all on my original copy of New Leaf as long as I make sure the plots I lay out for the villagers are viable. There are some tricky rules, like the 3 houses per acre rule, that I think mess people up.

I have both! When I received New Leaf, it was the Welcome Amiibo version. My brother just got New Leaf and his is in the original packaging. He got the Amiibo update digitally.

I still have the original icon, game cartridge, and the game box! Now that I think about it, it's actually been five years since I got New Leaf, and my town is gonna turn half a decade soon in January. :)

I have the original! I bought my copy when I bought a 3DS in June/July 2013. :)

I have both. I got the original game back in 2013 and I got a second town back in 2018 (Which came with Olive's Amiibo card!). I also still have the boxes both came in. The 3DS's activity log even counts them as separate games, which I think is neat.
