I have no acnl bells, because I spent them all on the museum shop to get the cafe.
I really need bells to get the cafe so does anyone know what the best thing to do to get Bells?

Fruit actually sells pretty good , as long as it is not your native fruit. Bugs and fish on the island are good too.

Beetle hunting and shark catching on the island are good ways to start and selling turnips is another.
As you post on here you accumulate tbt which you can trade for igb. I believe the current exchange rate is 20mil igb for 100 tbt. :)

like all the others have said, beetle hunting at the island during night hours is a prize win at bells. Im sure theres a lot of other ways too!

Do you have the island unlocked yet? If so, go there and catch fish and beetles to sell. (You can fish in your town too, but it takes longer to get valuable fish)

Idk about beetles but the most valuable ocean fish off the top of my head are red snapper (3k bells), any type of shark (ranges from 8k to 15k), ray (8k Im p sure), and blue marlin (10k). I made 1mil bells in a couple of days by doing that. Do you have perfect fruit trees? Make a whole orchard of those bad boys and sell the fruit. That's all I can think of at the moment.

One of your native fruit trees will randomly spawn a perfect fruit. Perfect fruit looks different from normal fruit so you'll be able to tell on the tree. Plant it and profit. lol

The going rate is 50 tbt for 10 million igb, 10 tbt for 20 million igb. If you want to make an exchange, go to the TBT Marketplace and make a thread offering 50 tbt for 10 million igb. There are usually people there who will exchange with you.

The exchange rate is that much? That's crazy. I'll probably end up doing that, since I don't use my tbt bells for anything.

uh, i think you meant 100 tbt not 10

It's going up. I've seen it at 100 / 25m.

As for OP, the most efficient way is to go to the island and catch bugs after 7 PM, and fill the basket. Half an hour should net you (no pun intended) about 300k, which should be enough for the caf?. If you need more, get 1m bells using the aforementioned method, and buy 180 stacks of 100 turnips. Resell through the Train Station board. Profit is usually 3-10 million.

One way is to find someone with high turnip prices and buy as many turnips as you can to sell in their town. I easily made about 5mil doing this when someone had their turnip prices in the 500s. You may have to time travel to Sunday though, because Joan, who sells turnips (I don't know if you're just new to the site or new to the game so I'm sorry if you already know this), only comes by to sell them on Sundays.

Also, if you have perfect fruit, take a bunch and sell it in someone else's town. As long as they don't have the same native fruit as you do, you'll get a lot of bells that way too.

Also, do you have any popular villagers in your town that you don't want to keep? If you do, then you could sell/auction them for quite a lot of IGB or TBT if they're in boxes. If the price is in TBT, well, you could just do what I (and other people) said earlier and trade it for IGB.

Lolly is incredibly popular from what I've seen. If you have her and don't want her, I highly advise selling her to someone else. (It feels weird saying 'sell her' like I'm talking about selling a person...)

From my experiences, trying to catch island beetles after 7pm is pretty hard. Then again, that might be because I have a ton of flowers on my island and a few lemon trees. :lemon:

Selling a load of perfect fruit in somebody else's town is a pretty good way of earning IGB. And like other people have said, trading your TBT for IGB works too.

If you don't have many dreamies (favourite villagers) in your town and are willing to TT, you could set up a cycling thread in the Villager Trading Plaza and cycle through villagers. It's a good way to get IGB/TBT from selling villagers you don't want while making it easier to find the villagers you do want at the same time!

The island beetles spawn more frequently if you get rid of the trees [not palm trees] and flowers/stumps.
