An Unexpected Disappearance :(

So, I found Marshal in my campsite today and was quick to move him in, but the day that Marshal moved in to town I was greeted with a letter from one of my dreamies, Ankha, who suddenly moved out. I don't understand at all. I checked to make sure that she wasn't going to move at any time and Isabelle didn't even warn me that she was moving. I don't know why she suddenly just went off like that but now I have to go find another Ankha which totally sucks...

How many days did you TT for Marshal to move in? Maybe you missed her ping? o:

I TT one day in to the 17th and checked everyone in town when Marshal's plot didn't show up, then TT'd one more day forward to get Marshal's plot. and then went backwards one day back the the 17th and then Ankha was gone. Isabelle said nothing about her moving out when I checked town on the 18th or 17th

That sucks I'm so sorry for your loss. Next time you TT it might be the safest to load with a new file first and check for missing houses/villagers in boxes.. and if so then TT back a few days and that way villagers won't unexpectedly move out on you

So altogether you TT-ed 3 days. o: when you go back it counts as a day, so that makes it 3 days. :c
So you checked the 1st day, and didn't check the 2nd when you saw Marshal's house plot. That day might've been the day Ankha was going to ping. And then when you TT-ed back (counting as one day), it was too late. She was already in boxes. :c

That's sad. I also just lost my Ankha too. (And the rest of my town as well.) So I know how you feel.

Ankha would have pinged or someone would have rumoured that Ankha was intending to move the day you time travelled backwards but they didn't get round to telling you. This is a method I use to get rid of villagers quickly. As soon as someone pings or someone tells me a certain villager is moving, I just time travel backwards a day or 2, and they are either in boxes or gone respectively. Always talk to all villagers on each day you time travel to.

That sucks. So the day or 2 before Marshal said he was moving in you talked to everyone too? I know you TT'ed 3 days total, but they let you know about it 5 days earlier. So you must have missed it the day before and the day that Marshal was in the camp too. What's done is done. So I'm sorry about it. And so it doesn't happen again, you should talk to everyone, every day before TT-ing on, AND do the new save file trick (which incidentally would have helped with choosing Marshal's house placement).

On the other hand, that's great luck in finding Marshal in your camp! Congrats on that! ^o^

Yes, you have to do the 16 villager cycle. I am so sorry you lost a beloved villager though, it truly sucks.

When I started my town I had Diana in it and the other day she was in boxes and I didn't realise so I traded with someone and unknowingly gave them one of their dreamies for free >_< I don't really mind but it was quite strange

Thank you so much and I appreciate that very much, but there's no need I've decided to take Ankha off my dreamie list because of the 16 cycle thing and just update my dreamies again. Hopefully I'll have better luck in the future!
