An open apology to perfect oranges.

I never liked them. I thought they were silly looking and would never create a town if the fruit was oranges. Four towns later and I have perfect apples in two, perfect cherries in another and perfect peaches in the fourth. My daughter has perfect pears and perfect apples in her two towns. But neither of us had oranges. We had a friend who had them and she would allow us to raid her town. But she lost interest in the game so we were without them.

So when I created Big Bear Village, much as I was leaning toward apples once again, I chose oranges. I was resetting over and over again and suddenly much to my utter delight, got the golden yellow town hall. I have wanted that one so bad! And right beside it was a tree with a perfect orange on top. I was sold.

A few days in and all the perfect oranges trees I have planted are in full bloom and I am converted. I LOVE them! They are so bright and cheerful, more like a tangerine shape and color than orange. I have planted them along with lemons and the village just radiates happiness.

So to the perfect orange.... I sincerely apologize. You are glorious

I love them so much and agree with you on how bright and cheerful they are! They've got a nice metallic sheen to them, and just make a town look so much happier and friendlier, though I might be biased because orange is my favourite colour/fruit.

I think the tip of them makes them look sort of mutated and hilarious-looking, but have definitely seen oranges like them in real life.

At first I thought the perfect oranges looked funny, but I'm glad to have some in my town, they do make your town look so much more bright and glorious, yumyumyum

When I started my town Chestnut having oranges as my native fruit was a must for me! I just love the color and how they look on the trees.

When I started my town I made the mistake of ignoring things like map layout, train station colour and what fruit my town was growing. I ended up with a green roof, cherries and a pretty awkward layout.
Roof and layout aside I have never being particularly happy with cherries. For some reason I don't like them, I am forever confusing them with the lychees I planted and they looks bit dull even when they're perfect.
Wish I had known about these forums before I started!

Anyway, I am sure the oranges of AC accept your apology
I have no intention of apologising to the cherries though....

The perfect oranges look a bit goofy, but I don't mind them. Anything looks better than pears, IMO.

So cute! Big Bear Village sounds awesome. Oranges really don't get much love, and I too am a recent convert.

My first two towns had to have apples and peaches, respectively, to match their themes. My third town has cherries, to match its color scheme. My fourth town--if I ever get around to building it--is going to be my most colorful and cheerful town, and it is getting oranges for that very reason.

Nothing against pears, either...it's just that I haven't gotten a fifth copy of ACNL. Yet.

Lol. Yes, oranges are great. They have always been my favorite, and adding lemons really do look bright and cheerful. I also like to mix orange and yellow roses together. They're so happy together.

I never used to go with oranges either, until I realised how pretty the perfect oranges were, especially as I never really liked any other perfect fruit apart from the apples.

Orange and lemon trees sound awesome in a town , I'd love to visit when you have your dream address ready.

I have apples, cherries and peaches in my three towns, I have unlimited supply of oranges and pears from my friend (fruit swaps) but if I had another town I'd get oranges myself for sure.

Oranges actually are my most beautiful perfect fruit, Peaches are a second runner up. I just started a new town though so need to get some oranges, apples, and pears in before I get asked for some. It's only day 4 though so hopefully they won't ask for a bit.
