No information that i've heard. I would expect that the Amiibo cards will be widely available again though.

they said that it'll be integrated in some way but we have no specifics. i assume figures and cards will both work but nothing is confirmed.

Good point! I just assumed they would be integrated the same way they are in new leaf but haven't really thought about it properly. It will be exciting to see, I just hope amiibos can be called to move in rather than for items but thats just me.

My hunch would be you get to chose the 2 first animals that bought in the Nook Inc. Getaway Package with you by scanning their amiibo card. In yesterday’s Direct. You can see these first two getting off the plane, and run towards the island’s service center.

this might be true but i doubt it. i don’t think were gonna get that much control of whos in our island right away - i remember during the new horizons treehouse, they said that the first two villagers will be on our island until they chose to move off; we can’t force them off the island.

Not yet, but I sure hope we can use our Amiibo cards and I would love it if they got them back in the stores, as they are so rare nowadays. I need to start collecting them again so that I can find at least a few more of my favorites.

My guess would that they will just make it so that Amiibo figurines and cards will give the players the option of shooting villagers that move onto the island. Other than that, I don't see any other use for the amiibo. I doubt they would make it possible to get furniture sets from them, and I cant see them making it possible to get clothing from them either.
