as much as i'd like the sanrio villagers back, if it's anything like the crossover events with some games i'm playing, i doubt it. i know, nintendo has money for sure, but i'm also pretty sure this either was a one-off deal with sanrio or they'd have to pay a fee to use the characters again, so i'm doubting they'd re-add them. probably will get lost in the void just like the two robot villagers from the GC game did.

as for the "in house" crossover characters, i'm guessing they'll add them at some point later.

I hope they will return in a future update. When I tried to scan Chelsea's amiibo, it says I can't speak to her yet so I'm putting high expectations into that "yet" :v
