Can someone tell me how the Amiibos work? I know they are used to make your favorite villagers move in, but when do you need to use them. I only have two villagers... do I need to use an amiibo prior to anymore moving in? Or can I still use it after the rest move in? If so, can you choose which villager moves out?
Also, I've read many are fan made. Are these safe to use?
Yes, fan made amiibos are safe to use, just make sure you check the reviews.
You need to have 6 villagers before you can start inviting amiibo villagers. (Those 6 are 2 starters, 3 you craft furniture for, and the forced campsite villager.) This is because amiibo villagers arrive at your campsite! Once you unlock the ability, you just have to visit the nook stop and select ‘invite an amiibo villager’. I hope this helps! c:
