I agree with personality, especially on the amiibo cards that have the new villagers. I honestly thought Toby was a lazy (he's a smug) and Wade was a jock (he's a lazy).

They could have made use of the back, or easily put the quote on the bottom of each card in small print. But mainly I want the personality type.

What would be really cute is if you turned over the amiibo card, and their picture quote was there. Just like if it was their pic! I don't have any, so idk what's actually on the card back...

ETA: ok so I realize it was already mentioned. but imagine putting the cards in picture frames and keep them around the house.

I don't think they really can, since they already have all the names in different languages, meaning they would also have to have the personality type and quote in multiple languages, and then the cards would just be too cluttered. Plus, you can figure out the personality type by scanning them in once, which is sort of the point of having them, and I think the quote is one of the main points of villagers pics, so it would be a bit like a spoiler, or take away the point of collecting pics.
