Amiibo card used once two months ago, are there 2 or 3 invites left before move?

Weird question, my friend wants to move one of her villagers out via Amiibo card (I bought her the Amiibo card), and I will be getting that villager because she has trouble giving up that villager but definitely wants to get rid of it (it's her first ac), one of my villagers is moving out so it'll open a plot. BUT she already used that specific Amiibo card once, like, two months ago, my question is if that time she invited that villager is actually still saved? So there are only two more invites left, or did it reset because it has been so long ago? Does anybody know this? If it matters if there is a long delay between the 1st and 2nd invite?

It should remember the last time it was used and only need two more invites to complete.
