Amiibo card theory?

This may be a well known answer but does anyone know if you give a villager to someone if you can just move them back in again with an amiibo card? If so, if someone has a marshal or stitches card, congrats! Your'e rollin' in bells! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Yeah, but they don't seem to be majorly popular anymore (or at least not going for as much as they did a year or two ago) so it doesn't really matter. Especially with all the new villagers coming out.

Yes, that's correct. Marshall has been my main sacrifice while I've been organizing my town with new villagers and new house arrangements haha. I'm not that attached to him, so I don't care if he resets his memories with me.

It's one of my favourite parts of the update. Unfortunately the Marshal amiibo card is very expensive on eBay, I never bought any of the series 1-4
Just looking for Sylvana and Dobies cards at the moment so I can move them back in if they leave

Yep I have done this with Vesta, and Amelia, I have their amiibo cards Vesta moved in the WORST spot and I got her to move in a different spot!!
