Am I the only one who gets stressed and terrified by pinged chasing villagers?

Everytime Anabelle pings me I want to scream, she ALWAYS gives me clothes. ALWAYS. She's even given me the same shirt TWICE in one day! Ababelle, I don't need shirts! GIVE ME REACTIONS! XD

Someone did that to me (Filbert maybe?) as I was walking into Nook's Cranny. I ran back out immediately but they had forgotten they pinged me.

huh, one time Nibbles pinged me just as I ran into the museum, and when I walked right back out she was still emoting and remembered she'd pinged me. Wonder why it'd be inconsistent

Depends on the villager. Some of them can be cute, but imagine some cranky angry looking villager running and chasing you.

I love when they chase after me, like I'm their favorite person in the world and they just can't WAIT to talk to me. It's so cute!

I will say, though, that I got rather startled when Blanche chased after me early this morning. I was walking around shaking trees and it was super peaceful and raining and she came barreling after me from off-screen so suddenly that all I registered was that a big white something was chasing me! I really jumped! Of course, the sudden pinging noise didn't help.

I feel like I need to put bells around my villagers' necks so I can hear them coming. lmao
