At first when a holiday or event is approaching I get really excited, but once it's here its just meh to me. I don't mean to be a debby downer, but events never seem fun to me and always seem like a chore collecting this or that. Plus I hate how villagers usually will only talk about the event and not their usual dialogue. Am I the only one who prefers normal acnl days to holidays?

I agree to an extent. It does feel tedious when you're trying to complete the full set of holiday items--especially when it takes hours. I tend to enjoy the holidays better in subsequent years, when I'm not necessarily trying to get everything and I'm only playing to get a taste of the experience.

Sort of agreed. For experiencing an event the first time, yes it is annoying & tedious especially if trying to complete the unorderables you receive. I love Festivale, but my first one I despised Pav?. after that though, imo, they are more enjoyable.

Also dialogue has always been new leaf's weakest area so not much to really say there. D:

I like holidays until about 5pm when the event doesn't stop and I can't actually accomplish anything in my town.

im with you. the holidays/events are just boring for me, a player who time travels a lot and experience events a lot too. there's just nothing much to do once you collected all the holiday furniture. the most tedious event i got to say is the festivale. Pave just gives you the same item over and over again unlike bunny day where you receive the furniture in order. would be cool if the devs actually update the game from time to time so that the we players have something to look forward to.

Holidays were exciting the first time I experienced them. I look forward to them the next year, and while I do enjoy them, they're never as interesting as I remember.

i like them a lot. i always enjoy doing the fishing tourney with my friends, running around on festivale looking for feathers or counting down to a new year with sparklers and poppers: i think you're not enjoying them because you're taking animal crossing as a game to be played, instead of simply enjoyed.

No, I still think it's because the first time you experience a holiday, you're rushing around to collect the new furniture. What is there to look forward to the next year? It's not like you'll be getting any new items.

I only enjoy holidays if I have an objective in mind. Like yesterday I was collecting certain eggs to decorate my Town Tree and on Festival I was collecting as many Pave items as I could because furniture was on premium

I enjoy the holidays, but I do wish that at certain times you could still get things done in your town, get pings from villagers, etc. Even if it's 5-7pm when you can start doing that.

The collecting can definitely be tedious and frustrating but I still really enjoy the holiday events (not the tourneys). It's something special, with unique characters and fun music (and sometimes confetti!). So I like them simply for the atmosphere :)

i like holidays/events and i think they're really cute, but i do wish there was more flexibility in terms of being able to do normal everyday things. not being able to build/demolish PWPs on any event day (especially the fishing tourney and stuff, like really?!) is incredibly annoying, as is the villagers not being able to ping.

I agree. They're not that great. The first time around, usually you want to collect all of the things and such, but after a while it just kind of gets boring.

Me too. After like 4 hours or so of trying to collect the stuff given, I get bored and wished I could do everyday things. The no PWP building/demolishing on tourneys I find is especially stupid. Yesterday my villagers were also telling me that Fauna was leaving town soon but I couldn't get a ping. It's fun, but I wish there was more flexibility.

I also kind of don't like holidays. Because I'm slightly a perfectionist, I feel like I have to collect all the furniture or anything else for events. I usually avoid certain events such as the fishing tourney, the bug off, and Halloween. Halloween is really stressful for me because I am not a big fan of being chased down by my villagers. Plus you can't really do anything with your pwp with frustrated me yesterday. So, no, I'm not the biggest fan of holidays.

Honestly i'd rather have ACWW's no holiday formula back. Halloween was a pain to deal with. The little i played the thanksgiving was painful to deal with. Christmas is a month long nightmare to get the proper hints and neighbors moving isn't much of an option since you'll have to start the hint process all over again w/ a neighbor. I can't vouch for Pave or Zipper since i've never done either of those but it looks like it'll be a giant headache.

Well I don't like the easter one, as its almost impossible to get all 6 eggs types unless you have a slingshot already or a fishing rod, and sligshots are hard to come by until you upgrade nooks cranny, anyway festivale is probably my favourite, its so fun, the other holidays are quite cool I reckon :P

I like them, but I wish that you could play your Mayor role during them, without Isabelle telling you something like "But it's a really special holiday, you should take a break!".
