Am I plot resetting correctly? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

SO, here's the part that confuses me.. when i got a plot, i didn't like the spot so i resetted of course-- and i got a couple more to show up after that (all of which were in terrible spots).. BUT, after 3 or 4 tries, the plots stopped showing up? D:
i looked all over town, looking around each spot 2-3 times. i resetted and made new characters but the plots just stopped showing up for me. i don't know if this is normal for plot resetting but if it is, should i keep making new characters? or would it be safe to start up as my mayor and tt to the next day?

keep in mind that this is my first time plot resetting :')

I've never had this happen before...are you sure you haven't missed it somewhere? I've managed to do that before. I would go over your town again. If you still can't find it, maybe try resetting and checking a few more times but if it still isn't showing up I can't think of anything you can do other than load up as your mayor and see what happens

I've had this happen a few times with random move ins. What I do is if I don't see anyone, I close out without saving and start a new character again just to make sure, then save the new character and start up my mayor. I haven't had any surprises villagers doing it that way.

Do you have a full town? And did you invite someone? If you have someone definitely coming in that shouldn't be happening. I agree, look all over the place carefully.

If you don't have a specific villager coming in and you have less than 9 then it's possible you are randomly just not getting a new villager each time.

i see. thanks guys i'll try to reset a couple more times and see if anyone else pops up, if not i'll save and start up as my mayor.

i do have 8 villagers and i haven't invited anyone.. hmm

also, bump to see if anyone else says anything!

OK well i saved my new character, deleted it, then changed the time to 5:56 and started up my mayor. made another new chara and i still haven't seen any new plots.. what am i doing wrroooongg?? ;~;

Try switching off your 3DS and switching it back on. Sometimes that helps when a villager is stuck plotting in the same places over and over even when there are other available spots. Maybe it'll help too in this case.

You can always save as your new character (and then delete it) before starting as your mayor.

and they were ALMOST in the spot i wanted them in. nice!
