Am I doing some in wrong? Or am I just unlucky.

Update: Day 1. The flowers I accidentally watered made something, but my beach flowers made NOTHING

I have been breeding without fertilizer and the gold can myself in my my new town, and I average 3 hybrids a day. Here are some tricks to doing it:

1. Spread lots of pairs (like, 20 pairs or more) all across your town's mainland - not just the beach. Without fertilizer, the spots hybrids will spawn will be quite random, and only choosing a few pairs in visual distance won't work well.

2. Jacob's Ladder, Perfect town status, and the Gold Can to help spawn hybrids are total urban legends. There is no tested evidence that they increase the chance of getting hybrids. You can get them without these attributes.

3 If you manage to get fertilizer, swarm a bunch of same-colored flowers all around the fertilizer, Kind of like this:

If you need to use two different colors, put them in a checkerboard around the fertilizer, like this:

Either way, this only works if you have fertilizer with you.

4. Certain hybrids like Pinks are unstable at first. The best way to do those is to keep trying to breed new Pinks from older ones, and separate and replace new Pinks from the old to breed with each other. Keep repeating this, and you will get Pinks that are much more stable.

Hopefully this advice helps you.

Well I only recommended the pair thing because Hyrule_Crossing says he’s not getting even 1 & I’m not sure how many hybrids he has. Basically, it’s just to test that nothing is wrong with his town. Sometimes that happens, but if a hybrid appears then it means he’s not doing anything wrong & can continue to breed with more flowers.

But yes, there’s no proof at all that jacob’s ladders do help or increase the chance.

Yeah. I barely get anything and I water daily. It’s part of my daily routine. So I have no idea why the game is doing this, cause the game has never done it before. I don’t have TNT emporium so I have to get my fertilizer from a friends town. And I planted that and got a pink rose the next day. I will keep up for the next two days like Underneath The Stars said. If I get nothing I will update back. Same if. I do get something. All my hybrids on the beach are one or more away from the wall and one or more away from the ocean. So getting nothing makes me confused, as I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong.

Additionally: In my town, I don't even do diagonal placings - Just vertical and horizontal pairs. I don't think positioning like that matters for hybrids.

Again, I suggest spreading 20+ pairs all over your mainland town. I place my pairs next to buildings, as it makes them easier to spot for me. I also only water the flower pairs I really want - not everything. Island flowers are fine to use, too.

Update: Day 2. Finally! So no watering the flowers on top of my town actually let my beach flowers make something!
My hybrid reds made another red, whites made a white, I don’t think my pinks anything, and my oranges made another orange and another red.

Edit: for some reason it posted twice. Just ignore this one

Yay! I’m happy at least you got an orange hybrid! At least now we know somethings not wrong. Also, I think the red came from the Pink roses.
As days go by, the chances of getting pinks should be higher if you keep watering them & add more pinks.
Actually just do that for the color or type of flowers you prioritize
Hoping you get more blue roses soon. My hybrids for today are blue roses & couldn’t be happier. How silly that it’s only this game that makes us feel so accomplished getting a single hybrid flower.

I’m gonna have to make some more hybrid ed roses so I can have more at a time to make more faster

The thread is being bumped but I don't see any post, unless I click Go advanced and look below *_____*

Edit: Ok, I see it now. That just happens. Happened to me yesterday but got Hybrids today.
