Bells

Hi guys!

So I’ve been playing AC for maybe 1.5months now, I’ve been trying to make bells by selling turnips but I’ve never had my sell-price go above 100 bells. I check twice a day, before 12pm and after, every single day. I realise the very-high prices are rare, but it’s crazy that I haven’t even had it happen once, even just slightly over 100 bells.
For example this week every single time I’ve checked it was 70 bells and below..
Today they’re a low 30 bells haha.

Is getting higher turnip sell-prices entirely random? I saw some guides online to show how to predict the higher prices but I’ve not really seen that sort of pattern in my prices...

Any thoughts? Or is this totally normal and it just appears that the high prices are more common as a lot of people post online when they get it, making it seem more frequent?..

Thanks!

The highest I ever gotten was 152. I don't check it often though because I have always relied on other islands for selling turnips.

Use this. There is a formula to turnips and this will help you determine whether to keep checking or to ask someone online. It is a turnip price calculator.

The highest I had was about 150 something. My friend has had something in the mid 300's but other than that, no luck.

You'll definitely want to use the above site to help track your prices. Other than that it really is a lot down to luck, unfortunately. And it seems that with we can no longer TT to prolong a good turnip price as that will generate a new value for the turnips.

Prices usually go up on Thursday or Friday if you have a normal week. Try keeping tack of all the prices and use a turnip prediction website to see when high prices MIGHT occur. There are also websites where people meet to exchange turnips, but you'll need Nintendo online for that.

Ditto on the turnip price calculator! I'm not sure of the specifics, but your chances of getting a particular pattern (including large spike) are dependent on whatever pattern you had the previous week as well as your turnip buying price from Daisy Mae. At the end of the day though, it's all down to RNG.

The best way to ensure that you always get access to high prices is by trading with others through Nintendo Online. If you use sites like Animal Crossing Exchange or the Animal Crossing: New Horizons discord, to name two options, there will always be open towns to visit with high turnip prices.
