Animal Crossing never seems to run out of ways to reach me!
A few months ago, my town corrupted, and I was absolutely heartbroken. I didn't know if there was anything left for me in this game, after losing nearly everything I'd played for. I didn't pick the game up for months, I was just so upset.
This past week, I decided I missed playing, even if I still was hurting from losing so much. I set up my town with a good layout, and I was happy to find Portia and Bones among my starting villagers. There are only a handful of villagers from this series who are beyond special to me - 7, not even enough for a full town - so I was happy to see familiar faces.
Within this past week, my favorite villager from the GC era, my favorite from Wild World, my favorites from City Folk, and my favorites from New Leaf have walked into my towns. Every special villager I've adored and doted on in this series but 1 is now with me. I am dumbfounded, and humbled, and so glad. It was as if the game was insisting that the important part isn't the bad things that have happened, but the good.
I was so upset to have lost so many things, but this just reminded me of all I've loved over the years, and how much I still have to gain. I wanted to share it as an encouragement to anyone else here!
