Alt Character House Themes/Ideas?

Hi everyone! I posted this on the ACNL reddit page but received limited responses.

I've created a hacked town called Amai Ai, meaning Sweet Love. It's a town based around the theme of Love and Marriage. I'm looking for alt house ideas themed around this.
My Mayor is called Maru, her house is just a basic house.
My Second Alt Character is Marus husband, Judo. He lives in Marus house.
My Third Alt Character is Seishi, meaning Priest. His house is themed around a church with a church room, reception room, garden, eating area etc.
The Fourth Alt Character is still unknown.


I need help creating ideas for what else should be in my village. Judos house needs a theme and the fourth character needs a theme. I dont want a cafe, since the Roost serves as the towns cafe.

My Ideas so far:
- Judos work place? Office?
- A Spa
- A Fortune Tellers?
- A Greenhouse
- Inn
- Library
- Karaoke Bar
- Cinema / Movie House
- Shrine

I think Judo’s workplace would add to the realism, but might not offer much for your town’s theme. And I feel doesn’t need much more than a room or two.

I wonder if you could make like a date destination house? The middle room like a mini town plaza, and each subsequent room, a place you’d go to on a date! Like the theater/movies, a restaurant, a club, a park (greenhouse)

Orrrr, if Maru and Judo plan on having junior anytime soon, you could make the last character their child, and build a school, with an extra preschool/daycare room.

What about a hospital or a grocery store?

I think a fortune tellers sounds the most interesting, as I can't recall having seen that before. Same with Karaoke Bar, I would love to see how someone would pull those off.

I really like DewDrops idea of a grocery store, there's even shopping cart items you could use, and of course A LOT of food items. Maybe the harvest day ingredients would be perfect for that?

The idea with the Karaoke Bar sounds interesting, it's something you don't see that often and is also
kinda unique. Enough items for this should be there, since they added lots of music themed items after
the Welcome amiibo update. You could also add a room that works either like a party room or a concert
room where a band/DJ would play there (you could use those mannequins and dress them as musicians).

Personally I like the spa idea. I have a really nice one in my house that is one of my favorite rooms.

I agree with the other comments - a karaoke bar would be really unique and probably a lot of fun to create as well!

I use some of my spare houses as a museum (Fake artwork, mini fossils, etc.)!
I sort of wish I did not make them so large though.
