All fakes at Redd's

I thought i had a real statue chosen (giant head rock). but didn't see exactly if it was real or fake.. But it was a fake..

I know for certain that the other arts were Fake.

Have you had all Fake from Redd's?

Yeah, it happened to me earlier this week. Redd brought three fake paintings and a fake rock-head statue.

I haven't had all fakes, but someone else brought this up not too long ago. I've always thought that Redd had at least one real art piece. That's how I remember it being in every Animal Crossing game, so I don't know if this is new for New Horizons.

Yeah, that's what i thought as well.. I knew for certain the other arts were fake. Wasn't sure about the Rock Head Statue, but thought it was real.. But i was wrong about that....

It happens, unfortunately. Are you allowing anyone to come in and purchase? There's a heavy market for people wanting the fakes so you could either charge people to come buy them for themselves or buy them yourself and sell them on here.

You may know all this, but just in case.

Redd was at a day in my game when i didn't have had much time IRL.
I know people want fakes and are willing to anyone purchase these next time i have Redd again!

You could use it for island decoration, though. Unless it doesn't fit the style you're going for. I'm not sure how you get rid of those items because you can't sell them at Nook's Cranny.

I tried selling the gallant statue I got from Al at Nook's Cranny. They said they couldn't buy it. I'm guessing you can sell it if you're selling other items along with it at once. Tossing it in a trash may also be possible, but I haven't tried that yet.

I just do not get this at all. It seems like another WTF decision made by the devs to have a chance that all 4 art are fake. Redd comes around very infrequently in the first place, and then you play the find the real art game only to realize the answer is "None of the above". They could have easily just had a 60% chance of having exactly one real art.

I know you're just the messenger, but it's not like people are going to keep playing for years because they desperately want to finish their art museum. There are a lot of other ways to keep people playing the game for a long time besides tormenting them with horrible RNG.
