So, some earlier thread inspired me to make this. So, bugs. They all make a noise which I was interesting to look at. And yes, I did release all of those bugs in my inventory. Here it is.

O = larger, intense click, o = smaller click, - = pause, X = larger, intense (buzzing) noise, x = smaller buzzing

Overworld Bug Noises
Honeybee - makes a small buzzing noise
Bee - makes a stronger buzzing noise
Long Locust - makes an airy and light tinkling noise
Migratory Locust - makes a more deeper and intense tinkling noise
Rice Grasshopper - kind of like, in between the Long Locust and Migratory Locust

Brown Cicada - o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Pattern of clicks
Robust Cicada - Ooo-o-o-o-o-o-ooo Pattern of clicks
Giant Cicada - O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O- Pattern of clicks
Walker Cicada - ooo--O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-Xx-Xx-Xx-xxxx Pattern of clicks
Evening Cicada - ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo--- Pattern of clicks
Cricket - ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Pattern of clicks though some do have a few pauses
Bell Cricket - ooo---ooo---ooo---ooo Pattern of clicks though some pauses are a tad bit bigger.
Mole Cricket - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Pattern of clicks though there are a few pauses.

Grasshopper - a light buzzing but not as light as a Long Locust
Centipede, House Centipede, Tarantula, Scorpion - a scratchy noise
Mosquito - a very light buzzing noise
Fly - a deeper buzzing noise

More Uniquer Ones
Bagworm, Spider - makes a cartoony dropping sound when found

Don't know if you remember but a coconut crab will also do a cartoon-y sound effect when dropped.

That's all oof. :[

Anyway, working on the releasing the bugs now. If I accidentally save, please send help and fs. ;w;

Thanks! In the meantime, I made a list of the released critters. However, the butterflies unfortunately actually escaped. ;w;

Common Butterfly, Yellow Butterfly, Tiger Butterfly, Peacock Butterfly, Monarch Butterfly, Emperor Butterfly, Agrias Butterfly, Raja Brooke Butterfly, Birdwing Butterfly, Moth - light fluttering noise
Oak Silk Moth - loud flapping noise
Honeybee - light buzzing noise
Bee, Stinkbug, Dung Beetle - light clicking noise
Diving Beetle, Violin Beetle, Longhorn Beetle, Fruit Beetle, Scarab Beetle, Jewel Beetle - medium clicking noise
Miyama Stag, Saw Stag, Giant Stag, Rainbow Stag, Cyclomattus Stag, Golden Stag, Horned Dynastid
- a deeper clicking noise
Horned Atlas, Horned Elephant, Horned Hercules, Goliath Beetle - a really deeper clicking noise
Long Locust, Migratory Locust, Rice Grasshopper, Cricket, Bell Cricket, Grasshopper, Tiger Beetle - light clicking noise then an airy jump
Mantis, Orchard Mantis, Ladybug - light flapping noise
Brown Cicada, Robust Cicada, Giant Cicada, Walker Cicada, Evening Cicada - like a tinkling noise (not sure)
Cicada Shell, Flea - an extremely quiet pew noise
Snail - Walking Stick, Bagworm, Spider - pew noise
Lantern Fly - a screeching noise but not really
Red Dragonfly, Darner Dragonfly, Banded Dragonfly, Petaltail Dragonfly - a flapping noise
Ant - a small whip noise
Pondskater, Firefly - a cartoon-y fluttering noise
Mole Cricket, Walking Leaf, Hermit Crab, Pill Bug, House Centipede, Centipede, Tarantula, Scorpion - a scratchy sound but not like a scorpion walking, like softer and smoothed
Wharf Roach - a sound like slithering on sand
Mosquito - sounds like what it sounds overworld
Fly - sounds like what it sounds overworld

I'm very impressed by the system you created to explain the types of clicks and pauses :o

Alas, even with my volume on max, I am only able to hear just the loudest sounds. The only way I can detect a Mole Cricket is if I wear headphones. :(

Cicadas are my favourite bug sound! They make me think of the anime Higurashi. :)

I am glad someone likes them! I have to admit I like them at first, then it gets to be a bit much haha.
That, and the horrid buzzing of the nightly mosquitos!

Awesome! This is soo detailed! I love it! I'm also impressed with the system you came up with too. o:

The mosquito buzzing is enough to give me nightmares! Too many real life experiences with those things.

Why do people like the system I made? It's a bit inconsistent with the clicks and buzzes as there are different sounds and doesn't convey the entire sounds. :[ Thanks anyway. (what happens when I'm at school ;w;)

Very interesting list, thanks for this! While I didn't like the noises cicadas making at the beginning, as I found them mostly annoying, I do like them now. They gave me somehow a summer feeling, don't know why.
