I didnt read the Twilight book and didnt know what it is till my sister said she was excited for the movie. But the movie was FANTASTIC! Man people on these forums don't like anything >_>

1. I actually really don't like vampire, so that's an incentive.

2. While I don't actively DISLIKE Twilight (it's just another cheap teeny romance) I hate what it's doing to people. A lot.

It's breeding the people I hate.

The first book was decent, but the series went waaay downhill from there.

IMO, it deserves the hate, because the books really weren't good, especially the last book. It's wish-fulfullment. I went through all the books, and I still couldn't figure out what connection Edward and Bella had..

They're vastly, vastly overrated.

I don't now how you can say that. The connection they hav and love is totally right in your face. I'm reading the series for my second time now and it becomes more clear and you start noticing things the more you read it.

I agree that the series started going downhill, but I liked it up to Eclipse, Breaking Dawn was crap it had to much love making and no more goochy goochy -make you giggle- flirting and kisses. =[ Breaking Dawn was overrated, seriously.

Many people are telling me the movie is awesome, so I don't know why so many people in this forum(besides king) hated it. I'm seeing it tomorrow, so I'll know then, but still, why so much hate towards Twilight? Is it because it has so many annoying fan girls? Because many people are obsessed over it? Or a more reasonable explanation: I just don't like books about vampires and that kind stuff, blah blah blah? :brrrr: :brrrr:

I don't like the fact that it's a relatively mediocre book that seems to have teenage girls in a whirl. It's silly, but I guess it could have happened to anything. It really just caters to the 'perfect romance' scenario. I read a few lines...and Edward's really a creep. D:

Edward is such a stalker, obsessed sort of character, and I find it really difficult to believe that teenage girls are finding that so amazing. If I had been Bella, I would've gotten a restraining order... and then got out my wooden stake. It's creepy as hell. Anyone that's ever had an obsessed ex can definitely understand where I come from. Fiction or not, this is a bad series for girls to get addicted to. If this sort of thing is their dream romance, then they'll have another thing coming to them when they actually get stalked by some random creepy dude. Just because the character is supposedly "hot", it doesn't make it alright. Dx

Well, Bella loves Edward, she can't leave his side so I guess she likes being protected or 'stalked' as you said by Edward, of course I don't agree with your choice of words but that dosen't matter. =/ The fact that you said random creepy dude, bothers me. Edward isn't some random thug in the street, Bella likes him, he's not a random dude here. The fact that Edward is a handome guy, really doesn't bother me. I mean, it all depends on how you visualized him, anyways I'm sorry you feel that way about Twilight. It's a good book in my opinion. Twilight that is.......Breaking Dawn not so much. =/
