I feel like iron wall lamps are too expensive to be a good gift idea. In 1 month you'll need 120 iron per villager, and half as much of clay. (10 villagers: 1,200 iron, 600 clay)

I'd just find a wall furniture piece in the catalog as bells are easier to obtain than iron and clay.

That’s an interesting point. I crafted, like, 50-60 of them for this purpose and I’m only focusing on three villagers at a time for picture-obtaining stuff but I could see myself running out of material eventually... Is there a specific wall-mounted item you’ve got in mind? Ô_o

Oh, i have the DIY, no worries. But I was under the impression that the gifts needed to be expensive in order to be efficient. Are floral swag worth as much as iron wall lamps? ‘.’

Unsure! I think you're right...Though I think wall mounted terrarium might be cheaper than iron wall lamp? I'm too tired to do the math though. I think as long as it sells for 3000k it's worth the most.

The thing is, it sells for less than 2,000 bells. Just 200 bells to be exact. I believe furniture that sells for 2k gives higher points.

Yeah... I only got into the series with New Leaf (Though I did play the original when I was a wee child) and the phpto-giving was already like that then but I read that, in past entries, it was way more, like... emotional and personalized than it is in NL and NH. I do think it’d be better if it was a bit more impactful ^^’

Nope, not yet. I'll need to look at what I have available. I'd probably cheap out and buy something that has a 50% chance of receiving a gift exchange and then soft-reset until it works in my favor.

if it sells for over 2.5k you get a guaranteed item back i've been using iron wall lamp and hanging terrariums. any wall item that you can buy that's over 10k should do since the boys buy at 25%. example: antique phone, imperial dining lantern.

some wreaths are also good, but they'll put it on their door.
