Tabby supposed to look like Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro.
She was in the campsite and I'm try to con her into buying something at some inflated price, she's not buying anything and finally I'm like "Tabby, your design is so unfortunate, I don't know why someone designed you this wa-AH! I GET IT." It hit me that she looks like a catbus.
Ahah!
I don't know why it clicked for me (of all people), I've only seen the movie once, a few years ago.
So yet the fourth (that I'm aware of) Studio Ghilbi homage is AC, right along with Kiki (Kiki's delivery service), Julian (howl's moving castle) and I've always thought that spork reminded me of Porco Rusco (yes, I probably spelt that wrong, it's 1am)
