my starter FINALLY wants to move out. jesus christ I spent like 2 irl days trying to get him to leave so i could move chrissy in from my friends town. no idk why im making a whole thread for this but i have to share my small victory because i have NEVER been so happy as when i saw him and heard the thinking noise. (i feel kinda bad tho for being so happy abt this bc i actually really like hamlet and hes cute i just like chrissy more ;_; ) now time to clear out the ungodly amount of mail i must have

Congrats! Seems really hard to get villagers you want to move out to actually ask to move out. It’s always the ones I like asking to move out on my island lol.

Wow he was intent on staying! I want to move out my starter too, but he won't budge. I am thinking of forcing him out with a camper or an amiibo card if i can buy some later.

oh my god this was me yesterday. I was trying to move Bam out to adopt Colton. every time he had the bubble on only to ask me to catch some stupid fish for him I felt like committing a crime. I got every single villager, including Shari, my other starter, to ask me to leave, several times, but Bam just kept asking for fish. or bugs.

eventually I decided that clearly he just didn't want to move and I just needed to leave him be. you'll have your chance another day, Colton.

Audie was the same for me, I did so much TTing to try and move people in and out and she never pinged me until today while trying to kick someone else out .
I want her to go to someone who has her as a dreamie and even was supposed to do a trade of her for Goldie but since I went 12 hours of trying to kick her out they gave me Goldie for free .
I've had her since basically the start of my game (3rd villager).

Congrats! I know you must be thrilled. I've had Goose since the release and he's never pinged me to move. I like him but I like other villagers more. I tried TTing 1 year (in-game time) to get him to move but nothing. Bam was at my campsite and I tried to get him to kick out Goose but that didn't happen. So now I'm giving up. I thought about giving Goose a ninja mask because it sure is fitting

Wow! I feel bad for people who don't have amiibo cards. I think Nintendo missed out on a huge opportunity by not re-releasing the cards when New Horizons came out. You used to be able to buy packs of 6 cards on clearance for $1.99!!!!
