Advice on an area in my town..DA inside!

So, I recently updated my DA for the first time since the Welcome Amiibo update. Pretty exciting for me~

I've put in at least 1.2k hours on my main town, haven't checked in a long time, so it's more than that by now haha. I really love my town despite the crappy map, I was able to make it work for the most part.

I'd say my town is about 90% complete, save for one small area on the bottom left portion of my map (where the windmill is). I don't have any clue what to put there! There's currently a windmill and some benches, but those are mostly placeholders :> Would anyone mind visiting my DA and giving some advice? Or even just ideas for what to place near a cliffside area haha, anything helps! I have almost all PWPs unlocked, my creative juices just aren't flowing lately :<

First of all, I would just like to say your town is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I can definitely see the 1000+ hours you have put into it.

I know this is not the area you asked about but I'll mention it anyway. One thing that bugs me a little is that one tree right in front of the tower. It's fine if you feel differently, but I feel that instead of enhancing each other, the two objects compete with each other and that it detracts from the area as a whole. The other trees look great but that one specific tree is a bit of an eyesore.

For the area you were actually talking about, I have 2 ideas. The first would be to place a zen bell as the main focus of the area, then have a zen clock close by. I don't know the lore of your town but maybe the bell used to function like a foghorn to help ships navigate, then later used to indicate the hour. The clock would be to tell the operators when to ring it.

The second (and my personal favorite) would be to place a solar panel and parabolic antenna. The solar panels would be to power the antenna which would be used for... something. I don't know you decide. Maybe the antenna is for alien research, as someone has to have noticed the 3am message by now. It's a very isolated corner of the town, making it perfect for a secret research station.

I always love seeing how much work others put into their towns, so it makes me really happy to hear that from someone else :') and also LOL thank you for the advice about the tree! Honestly, I always thought something seemed..off? about that area, but i could never pinpoint what it was, I'll chop that one down right away hahaha!

I also LOVE those ideas! I really REALLY like the antenna PWP, I just never thought I'd be able to have a good use for it :> I'm going to have Isabelle tear down all the PWPs I have up currently and afterwards I'll see what looks best! Thank you sm for the advice :'))

Glad I could help. I'm kind of the opposite since I have so many ideas but only one town to put them in. It's nice that I was able to put one of them to good use.
