Advice: Getting Villagers to Give You Their Pics

Hello, The Bell Tree Forums Members!

I'm seeking advice.

There seems to be such a delay in getting the pics of many of the villagers. I have had "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" since August, and many of my characters have been there three months and beyond. Jambette, Drago, and Scoot are originals. Between them, only Scoot gave me his pic. (The other current villager who have given me their pics: Keaton and Twiggy. Ex-villager pic is from Walt, who mailed it to my Mayor Jill just after his move. I bought, from a forum member, the pic of Shari. She moves tomorrow, 12.30.2013.)

Can anyone give me some advice?

I have all my villagers pic except 2, and have some duplicates

Always give them a Perfect Fruit when they ask for a Fruit, even better a foreign perfect fruit.
Always give them customized furniture, and look up their birthday gifts http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/villager-birthdays/ Give them one of the same colour
If they ask for a fish, give them a shark..
If they ask for a bug, a golden stag or hercules..
Petitions help, and do every favour they ask for
A few letters here and there..

Now heres the trick, after doing 10-15 of these good errands, spread over a few weeks, on the next errand, save before you hand over the gift
If they give you a good piece of furniture, you know they are close, turn off the console and try again... If they have not gave you their pic in 5/6 resets... save and quit, and do some more errands for them and try again


Indications of good friendship are:
If they sit down with you and turn and smile
If they wave or bow at you when leaving their house
If when you call their name on the microphone, they give a good reaction
If they send you letters often, with presents attached, even if you have not sent them one
And a big one, is if they enter your house uninvited, that means you're close to a pic from my experience
