Advice for moving items/flowers to a new town?

I'm debating making a new town soon, but I have a tooooonnn of hybrid flowers I'd want to move over.
Like. We're talking a beach and a half.
And that's only the flowers.
There's furniture, unorderable clothing, saplings and bushes to get started....


How do you all manage to minimize the amount of stuff / carry it all over to the town you're safekeeping it in? Bring a few hybrid pairs and sell the rest, then breed more? Bring only the furniture you absolutely want? How do you even narrow it down?


...I've got way too much stuff. :x

That is a good question. I never started over again.

I think I'll just narrow it down to maybe 4 pairs per hybrid, a few extras for favorite ones, and sell extra flowers.
I'm trying so hard to minimize the amount I carry ;-;

Unload your locker in the new town and then fill your locker with the flowers. That would be 180 flowers.

-recently reset and transfer-
Flowers, I transferred all hybrids... and it was basically two entire beaches...
Furniture, I transferred all items in my house ((minus orderable duplicates)), anything unorderable, and DLCs...
... so I had a lot to transfer... and it does take awhile.

It is easier with 2 people doing the transfer compared to someone just doing it all by themselves with 2 3ds...
I did both parts of that...
On transfer to side* town, I did it by myself and total, it took over 6hrs. >.>
ON transfer back to new town, it has taken a lot less time since I had my husband help me... Since while he drops stuff in my new town, I pick it up as it drops so he didn't have to walk around wasting time... once he had to go to the locker to get more, I ran to the beach or whereever I am going to store it and drop them off there.
