Adopting a villager vs voided villagers

I have 9 villagers in one of my towns. I want to invite a friend to my town, but she has villagers that are still in her void. If I were to adopt a villager and invite them to move in, will her void override that or will I still get the villager I adopted?

I know it's not a 100% guarantee that I'll get her voided ones but I'd like to avoid that if I can.

I'm pretty sure that the invited one will override the voided one, but I'm not 100% certain...

Hmm...better I just wait until I adopt one before inviting her over then.

Just have her visit a town with 10 villagers and it will clear her void

Fairly sure the game prioritizes the asked villager, and not the voided.

Yes I recently learned that an invited villager will always override a voided :]
