Ah, I've hit "Power" instead of "Start" only once before - it was HORRIBLE. I think I played for about 2 hours and I was fairly sleepy, held down Power and as soon as it shut off I thought to myself... "what in the $*%@ did I just do?!!?"

So frustrating. It also sucks that some people have this mentality that because we did it ourselves, we deserved it, or something. People make mistakes, and it sucks.

I hope you can re-make the dress...! Maybe you want to wait a bit before sitting down for another hour to recreate something you've just lost. I know when I accidentally shut down I needed a little bit of time away from my DS. Lol.

Gah that's such an awful feeling. Am yet to do it on the game but I've lost many a photoshop file before. Sometimes actual illustration work bahaha. Ctrl+s my artistic friends.

how does this happen to so many people??? i have to hold down the power button for at least 2 seconds to get it even to go to the 'power off sleep mode' screen
it takes like 5 seconds of holding down the button for my 3ds to actually turn off

Sometimes people just aren't paying close enough attention. IT HAPPENS.

While beetle catching at 3am, yawning, nearly dead from sleep, and I hold down POWER out of habit instead of hitting START to save first.... it just happens. And it sucks. Those of us who have lost hours of work because of a silly mistake really don't need others acting like we did something completely moronic.

Ah, on the computer it's so different! I CTRL+S about every 3 minutes on computer files, lol. Pretty much any time I make any edit, I save. (That's more re: word documents though, I'm not artistic by any means!)

One time I had picked up all of the trash on the ground and planted my flowers, only to find out it was 1:00 in the morning. I quickly rested my eyes. Next thing I know, it's morning and my game has run out of battery.

omg the horror stories i hear ;_;
i made another mistake, and Diana is now in boxes and I now am praying one of my friends can hold her while I cycle 16 villagers out. I am so angry at myself ;___________________________;

i guess if worst comes to worst i can offer marshal for diana or beau for diana and then sell the other one. (I dont really care for beau ;_; he looks strange to me and doesnt make me smile )

Happens to me a lot with other games, but I only remember one particular time in Animal Crossing. I played for a while, then put it in my pocket without saving 'cuz I realized I was late for class. When I got back to my room, the cartridge popped out as I pulled it out of my pocket (I wear skinny jeans 'cause it's Portland lol. Darn those tiny pockets...) I think all I did before losing my progress was water my flowers and talk to my villagers, though.
