Can someone explain to me how fashion themes work with the villagers? I'm trying to find Bunnie a shirt, her theme is cute yet she's strolling around town wearing a shirt with clouds on it which i swear is called Cloudy Shirt is not in the cute isle. I'm using Thonky.com as reference. Also i tried to give Benedict back his shirt (which he wore for months) the Vegetarian Shirt and he just didn't. Do they wear what they want? Something i'm missing?

A little off subject but i also made him a music box with his favourite song I Love You for his birthday..he hasn't got it displayed.

Help please?

Villagers will wear anything, fashion themes are only relevant for Gracie checks as far as I know. And it's random whether they'll wear a shirt you give them or not. Giving them the same shirt multiple times raises the chances they'll wear it (but also the chances that they'll display one of the extras in their house, lol)

With furniture, same deal, it's random, unless they specifically ask you for furniture as a favor. For birthday gifts it helps to give them something from their preferred style and/or color (there's a guide for that on Thonky as well)

No problem! Now that I think of it, looking at the guide I linked, there is preferred clothing listed for all the villagers as well lol (no mention of fashion themes though, I actually wasn't aware that villagers had preferred fashion themes). So maybe they are *more* likely to wear something if it's on their list, but I still think by and large it's random.
