is there any way to tell if you've finished the 16 villager cycle?? I have Rosie and Julian in my cycle town and I want to make sure I can bring them to my main town before putting them in boxes.

I am not sure, probably one way would be if they no longer are appearing in your shopping district
When doing the 16 cycle, it's best to keep a list of who has moved out

I think they disappear off your main street once you've cycled 16 :3

I was wondering this too. I lost Roscoe at some point and he's no longer on my Main Street, but I'm honestly not sure I've had 16 villagers since he left.
