ii started playing ACNL Feb. 2018, everyday, every hour!! you could find my DS attached to my hand bc ii ALWAYS had it with me, ii never left without it, bht lately this last week, ii havent been playing :/ yet alone been on this forum, ii did lose wifi/internet access the week before, so that kept me from playing as ii used to for abit bht now that ii have it back, ive still yet to play for hrs like ii normally would!! .. now my question is, if ii wanted to take a break, bht not have my town move in date, how could ii prevent that? ii wouldnt want to be gone for 3wks, and have my villagers move out!!!? is there anyway to prevent the time from moving?

ii was thinking maybe taking the game out of the DS slot? would that work? any info/suggestions you have would be great!!! im not sure how long id take a break for, bht just for future ref. so id know.. thanks so much!!

I'm not sure if there's a way to stop time but there is a way to keep your villagers from moving during a hiatus. After a villager pings to move and you ask them to stay then save and quit,no more villagers will ping to move until you start your game again and load up your town's save file.I do this a lot because sometimes I can't play or forget to play for specific periods of time.I haven't lost any villagers yet.

ah interesting.. okay hopefully that works lol! thank you

Not really a way to stop villagers from moving. Best you can do is take a break, but still play for 10 minutes a day to see if you get a villager moving rumour to appear. If you don't, great. No one's moving. If you do, get em' to ping you and stop em' from moving.

got it thanks!! :)

i have another town that i never visit anymore, but don't want to delete in case i want to go back for nostalgia. i've gone back several times, quit, and prevented move-outs. what nunnafinga said works every time.

you just walk around and wait for a villager to ping you to move out. when you tell them to stay, you can save and quit your game. whenever you come back, your villagers will all still be there.

but yeah that doesn't stop time, it just prevents villager move-outs.

Just make sure you have the beautiful town ordinance so you flowers wont wilt and do the above trick to prevent villagers from moving then you could take a break for as long as you like.
