ACNL Badge Accomplishment and Discussion?

Hey Guys!

Are there any crazy achievement collector out there? I'm a hug fan of collecting every badges in ACNL. How about you guys?

Hope I'm not the only one. XD

Yep, I'm going for all gold. Currently only focussing on the traveller (visit 500 towns), dreamer (500 dreams in Dream Suite), refurbisher (200 items refurbished with Cyrus) and the streetpass badge (streetpass 1000 people - good luck).

I still need some badges on my main but I am somewhat near there, not really pushin it or rushing for it; it will come to me. I have no life thou and have the gold badge for the highest amount of bells you can have on two of my towns.

Hmm, I'm just trying to actively get the bronze ones and then get the silver/gold ones eventually. Though I doubt I'll ever get the streetpass one.

I'm currently trying to get the Balloon Badge. It'll be a while before I get it. For the most part, I'm looking to complete my badges. I'm slowly working on them. I look forward to the day I finally get them all...what a day that will be!

I actually need a few more gold badges. The streetpass badge is the hardest to get. I already got silver. Also the weeding badge is a REAL pain to get. I'm still stuck on stupid bronze, no matter how much I weed.

It's even harder when you have beautiful town. I plan to get a second town and weed in there.

I'm honesty just letting my weeds grow. The beautiful town ordinance will come when I earned that darn weeding badge. It's quite a pain to water all my flowers every day though...

A little advice on the weeding badge:
What I've been doing is planting a huge field of random flowers from the island, and then picking through them once a day and pulling up the wilted ones. They count towards the badge and I can usually get 5-6 a day plus the 3 regular weeds.
Also, this seems like a good place to ask, but do you need to streetpass with different people for the streetpass badge, or can you just streetpass multiple times with the same 3DS?

I'm pretty sure you need to streetpass with different people for that badge. I read in different threat about other bringing their DS in to public places like schools, malls, even air ports to get that badge.

I recently started a new town, but I got the first streetpass badge after a weekend at a mid-sized anime convention. For some reason, I almost never streetpass with anyone around here, not even at school or the mall or game stores.

It's less fun when you're purposely going out of your way to get them, especially with the travelling ones. I went in blind and liked the surprise of Phineas turning up and rewarding you with one.

I'm currently working on the refurbishing one and the balloon popping one.

How to get weeding badges:
1) Make sure the beautiful town ordinance is not active
2) Pick 5000 weeds - this will take 4.6 years assuming there is room for them to spawn
3) Once that's out of the way, go to other towns to boost your weeding count further

I will most likely be able to obtain all of them except for the streetpass badge. I need to start carrying around my 3DS wherever I go but I don't wanna have it on since the battery life already sucks on it.

I'm currently working towards filling my bug, fish and diving catalogues.

The battery lasts a couple hours with the brightness up and I doubt you'd be playing for hours straight in public, not to mention that the system can go for three days in sleep mode on a single charge. At home, you have a charger. Just don't put it in a bag at night in preparation for the morning, leaving the system on as the battery will be flat in the morning due to being connected to your WiFi, lol.
