Accomplishments in Puzzle League/Desert Island Escape!

I feel super happy right now! I FINALLY earned the flower fairy wig, the item I've wanted most from the update! I actually bought one the other day because I never thought I'd be able to get it by myself through Puzzle League. I could only ever get to 4k points in garbage attack before losing majorly. But I decided to try again just for fun, and with Cyrus' help (his amiibo has the 'garbage-be-gone' ability), I got over 10k points in garbage attack this evening!

What are you guys proud of accomplishing in the minigames?

I'm terrible at Puzzle League. I'm actually pretty decent at puzzle games like this. I've played all kinds - Tetris, Yoshi's Cookie, Puzzles and Dragons, Puzzle Quest, etc, but for whatever reason, I can't even beat the story mode on whatever the default difficulty is.

I'm much better at Desert Island Escape. It feels like an accomplishment every time I beat the high score threshold for each level. I love how you get the extra reward of MEOW coupons for it too.

I've collect'd all items from Puzzle League and I've high score'd all of the easy islands, almost all of the medium islands, and half of the hard islands.

If I want some coupons, I just hop into Hard Time Attack and I'll average around 3200 points without much effort. Though I always try to beat my personal record of 5087 points (no special power-ups too!).

How do you get items in puzzle league? Is it from beating story mode or breaking high scores or something? I got a few Nintendo items from getting high scores in Time Attack

In story mode I'm basically stuck at the Garbage block level, although I've practiced a lot with Time Attack and I'm quite good now so I could probably go back and beat it... but I only play Puzzle League for the MEOW coupons. I haven't gotten any items for Desert Island Escape though, I really suck at that game.

Each mode has a minimal score for a coupon, that score is also the score to get for the achievement items as well.
Now I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head, but I know that for Time Attack is 2500 points. Also the difficulty does not affect the score line for the achievement item score, so ya could "cheese" yar way to get the items.
Same goes for DIE, but it actually tells ya what's the minimal points for an achievement item.

Ah ic yeah I've gotten over 2500 many times on Time Attack for the coupons (and over 10k on regular mode), but I stopped receiving items at some point, only some items for getting chains. I guess I have to unlock the other modes as well.
