I can finally say that I've accomplished all my dreamies as Lolly is officially moving in tomorrow.
I'll still eventually have two open slots for other villagers that I might might want to experience in the game. I'm wondering how this "accomplishment" will influence my gameplay though. I must say that a part of the thrill was getting the dreamies in the first place - as stressful as it was. What did you do when you got all your dreamies together? Did your dreamies change over time and did you replace them with new ones? Curious to hear your answers. :)

Congrats! I got a lot of my Dreamies from cycling towns and the campsite, so I finished getting them probably within the first two months of my new town. In my first town it was super frustrating cause my Dreamies would keep changing, but now I have a new town and my Dreamies have been a set list. Some original Dreamies moved out though

Also, Ive been working on my town since I got them all :)

Congrats!!! Sounds like time to discover two new dreamies :)

Yeah, I might actually do that. There are quite a few other villagers that I like though they're not dreamies per se. If only the villager cap in the game was increased.

I found out about TBT and signed up. I made a dream villager list and I actually managed to complete it. I've probably had my dreamies for about 5-6 months w/ Roscoe being the longest @ 9 months since he started in my town from the start. I'm just now finally deciding to be willing to let some go, but I'm not sure as to who I want gone. Truth be told I don't think I want any going, haha, but I'm willing to find new dreamies in place of the ones I currently have so that I can have experiencing the game. I don't think it's too fun if you have the same villagers for too long. Part of the fun in animal crossing is getting to know your villagers and all that jazz so i'd rather keep the game fun while I can. :)

Edit: Oh, and congratulations. It's a very rewarding feeling isn't it? ^u^

Thank you! It definitely is. :)
My main problem is that I get attached to those pixels way too much. For example, Henry (the smug in my main town), was never even a dreamie to start off with but I got to like him so much that I can't imagine not having him around. Which is why I got my 2nd town which is already inhabited by 9 villagers I can't let go off (and I've only had my 2nd town since Feb 12th). :P

Once i got all my dreamies.... I got burnt out from plot resetting and stopped playing for 3/4 months. But i'm back now to ACTUALLY play with my dreamies that i worked so hard for.

you went 3/4 months without any of your dreamies moving away?

how?

I've been playing since November 12th and never got any unexpected move-outs. I just spam talk to them daily to check for rumours and take note of everyone found outside upon loading the game to see if they ping about moving.

I stopped playing after halloween and last week (?) I loaded up my town (with the current date) on a NEW save file and double checked all the houses and made sure no one was in boxes. After I saw no one was in boxes, I loaded up my mayor file.

Also before I stopped playing, one of my dreamies ping'd to move and I told her NOO WAY NEVER! I believe that once you tell them not to move away, the game gives you 3-5 days(?) before another villager pings to move.

That might have also helped? Not too sure.

Yeah, when they ping and you stop them, save and quit the game, no one else will move out so you can stop playing for however long you want. :)

I made a giveaway to give back to a community that has given so much to me.

I'm working on my town in general now.

ive technically had them all before, but lost fauna and tammy when i stopped playing for a couple months. so im all done cycling them and working on getting them back, then i will have them all. while cycling for them i ended up getting fang and ankha, and tangy instead of rosie. so maybe if i get bored of tangy ill get rosie someday instead. plus my 10th villager can change whenever because i only have 9 dreamies soo.
oh yeah i need kid cat though

It actually depends. The popular ones are often easier to find because there are auction/selling posts for them put up almost everyday.
It took me a while to find Bree and Olivia (who are not very popular), even though I managed to get them for free in the end but I had to keep looking at different forums and cycling threads.
It's hard getting the "populars" for free though. I have gotten close several times but I was always a few seconds too late. :P

I know the feeling. Sometimes unexpected villagers BECOME dreamies of some sorts. :P

I can't imagine having a second town, personally. Too much for me to handle. xD

I'm still working on getting mine. I only need Rowan and Bruce, but I still want to replace some other villagers too, and I'm not sure if I want to let Beau go now. I thought I had everything all figured out at first but I've slowly been changing my mind more and more. I want to get 10 villagers in my town that I love so I don't have to worry about anyone randomly moving in.
