AC The Movie! Did you pick an animal?

Before ACNH, New Leaf and City Folks came out, there was a Animal Crossing Movie. Long ago (can't remember when) I saw it (from not so reputable anime website). It was enjoyable and cute but nothing to special at the time. Now that New Horizons is out. I have heard people talk about it more. I see clips here and there and picture used. So just recently it got me wondering. How many of you have seen it and did you pick villagers to live on your island based on the movie?

Now sure, several of the animals in the movie are NPC. Though there are a few villagers you can get.

I can say I did actually. Well partially. I invited Whitney to my village cause I have seen her before and enjoyed her style. I wanted to get her photo to, so she was added. Though thoughts of the movie were also a deciding factor. I loved how they animated her in the movie. The style and everything. I even gave her a Kimono cause I loved how she looked in one in the movie. I could not find one that matched as well, but the one I gave her looks great. I want to find a matching shirt for the one she has on in her first scene.

I am sure a lot of people have Rosie and Apollo. They are both popular.

Still, kinda curious if any of the "Not-so-popular" villagers from the movie, won anyone's heart. What do you think? Any of the movie cast you want to add to your villager?

i adore that movie it's one of my faves ♡
i've watched every month since it come out lol
on my last island i had rosie, whitney and apollo because they're amazing and i loved them in the movie
i even put blue roses in apollo's garden as a reference aha

i've recently reset my game now i only have rosie but i might get whitney back soon
also on new leaf i had hopper and cesar because of the movie ☆

I watched the movie in like 2007 or something...so many memories...

I love Alfonso so much in it. His eyes are actually smaller in the movie which make him look so cute!

I got Rosie because she was in the movie and I thought she was cute

gave her a maid dress since i think she had one in the movie

The movie did inspire me to get certain villagers because the movie gave them "personalities"

I have Apollo in my town for that.

I also really adore Rosie, Margie, Whitney, Champ & Alfonso more just because they were in the movie.

i have apollo, but i didn't get him cause of the movie but because i've had him in every town since wild world and he's sort of a dreamie for me. in fact i didn't even watch the movie until last yearl... however, i do kinda want whitney on my island as well only because of the storyline of her and apollo in the movie lol.

I only saw the movie last week, and thought it was cute! Now I love Whitney even more (she was a favourite of mine in WW, but now I have her again). She is such a classic villager, even more so because of this movie!

I think I'm going to plant some blue roses in her garden now no intention of getting Apollo, however.

I watched the movie back in the New Leaf days, and I had a lot of the villagers like Margie on my island because of it! I also always plant blue roses only on apollo and whitney's yards ❤

I’ve loved cesar for a long time and I completely forgot he’s in the movie until recently. To be fair I saw that movie when I was in middle school so over a decade ago lol

I watched part of whatever i could find on Youtube and I was so inspired by the movie that I got Whitney's and Margie's amiibo and I currently have Rosie in my town! I was totally sleeping on Whitney tbh I didn't realize she was such a bad bich

I love that movie. Wild World was my introduction to Animal Crossing, so it means a lot to me because of that too. I love all the villagers in this movie, but I only got seriously attached to Apollo. He was part of my dreamie-to-search-for list and luckily he already showed up on an island.
