So I have picked up NL again since its time is now limited with AC switch announced.

How do you feel about NL now knowing its time is limited?

Also I needed to clean up my house, and I procrastinated it by picking up my town in NL

I will probably keep playing it, even though online activity will likely decrease drastically. I played the game for years without really being part of the community, and I'm not just going to abandon my town.

I don't really feel any different now that AC Switch is coming out, besides feeling more motivated to work on my town. I don't think its time is ever really going to be limited until multiplayer is cut off. The two games probably won't be really similar except for its core features, and then there are also the people that might not be able to afford to play Switch version for a while. I'll probably play New Leaf more than the Switch game while I'm still getting started because playing those first few days is usually boring for me (though I still love being a newbie mayor!).

The announcement of the new AC game hasn't changed my opinion of New Leaf and I don't think its time is limited.Heh,it's not like our New Leaf cartridges are going to explode when the Switch game comes out. It's up to each individual player as to whether they keep playing New Leaf or not.I still crank up my Gamecube town every once in a while. It's an odd time now because we have an announcement but no real information on the game itself. What features from New Leaf will carry over and what new things will Nintendo add?Hopefully,we'll get to see some game footage soon.

I'm still playing! I started a new town a couple months ago and am still having fun with it, especially since this is really the first time I've played since Welcome Amiibo.

I'm not planning on playing it concurrently with AC Switch, though.

I currently have five NL towns, so I'll probably put most of them on hold while I work on AC Switch once it's released. Except Bunifrey. Nothing will make me stop playing Bunifrey.

I haven't played much in the last year or so but I'm going to definitely pick it up again to help with the wait for Switch! As for when the new game comes out, I don't see myself playing often. :)

It hasn't really changed my opinion. I can't afford a Switch so I'll just keep playing New Leaf.

I have been considering picking up a 2nd cartridge for several months now and the announcement is pushing me to consider doing that sooner rather than later...mainly because I worry about losing the ability to trade between the two towns.

How is its time limited? I never understood why people think that just because a newer version of something comes out that they are obligated to stop playing the older version and move on to the newer version. I still play Sims 2 for crying out loud and they are already on Sims 4.

As for my view on this game, its hasn't changed. This game still gets on my nerves But it's fun to play and I don't see myself not playing it, at least not until I get my gaming computer.

I recently decided to create a few new characters in two of my towns, so that's breathing new life into the game. Also, I'm still in the process of trying to acquire the last four villagers I need (Drago, Pekoe, Tia, and eventually Julia) for my towns, so I'm hoping I can get that done before the Animal Crossing Switch game releases. Not looking too likely considering all the amiibo villager shops have dropped off the face of the Earth, but here's hoping.

i'll probably keep playing anyway ;v; i love new leaf but i am super excited for the switch version !

I guess I will just continue playing New Leaf till the Switch game is out and will then spend my time
fully with the new AC. It's just like with any other game, as soon as there is a new title out, I lose
interest in the old one. And I think this is going to happen here with NL too. Maybe I will check out
my NL town still here and there, but like I said, I will pay more attention then to my new Switch town.

My opinions haven?t changed honestly! I hopefully will continue to play New Leaf after the Switch release, although probably not as much. :p

I'm going to try to make my town look actually decent. Then I'll probably forget it forever.

How is NL limited? It isn't as though the game will self-destruct once AC Switch comes out. I'll still play; I've invested a lot of time and effort into my town, and have no reason to let it just fall apart.

I don't feel any differently about New Leaf. The online community (on this forum, anyway) had already died down quite a bit, so it's not like we'll really be losing that because of the new game. I've been ready to move on from NL for a while.

Time is limited because they can kill multiplayer function of this old game in 1-2 years. Not the first time it happened afaik. However, since new 2ds is fairly new and new ac would 90% be switch exclusive I think acnl is safe for a few years

It hasn't affected my thoughts or feelings at all. I have 21 New Leaf towns and they aren't going anywhere. I'm not going to abandon the DS for the Switch. Of course, I am curious and excited to see what the new game will look like, but I have no intention of buying a Switch. I am sure it's going to be AMAZING though! It's been a long time since a new Animal Crossing game hit the shelves. I can only imagine how fun it's going to be and how incredible it will look :)

i don't play often as it is and i never play online because my 3ds can't connect to the internet so nothing really changes for me. i will be playing it whenever i feel like it and when ac switch comes out that might be less often but hhhhhhhhhhhh idk

what

It's gonna feel a bit lonely since not many people will not go online with others (though that's for the best in club tortimer). But hey, there's people who are still playing the old installations so maybe it's not that bad at all.
