Once a pumpkin sprouts you can plant the pumpkin itself again somewhere else to get more pumpkins of the same color.

So technically....pumpkins are a new kind of "fruit" in the game.

lol, we got a new fruit and didn't even know it!
...Well, at least I didn't know it.

lol! I found out cause I was planning on having a pumpkin giveaway. I got a bunch from someone who grew them already, and was gonna bury the extras and let people come over and have people dig them up. Imagine my surprise when it turned into a plant!
