About cycling 16 villagers?

So... I bungled up moving in one of my dream villagers Fauna by setting the clock to 5:58AM to prep for resetting their plot but forgetting to set the day forward, causing a backwards jump in day to spawn her plot upon loading. Now I'm considering the option of moving her out to a friend's town for safekeeping until I can cycle out 16 villagers to pick her back up, and I need to be sure of some things before I take the risk.

First off, it IS possible to get back the same instance of the villager that moved out, as long as I've done the 16 requirement, right?

Second, the requirement is to MOVE OUT an additional 16 villagers after she leaves, right? Not just bring them in?

Finally, upon moving out the 16, she'll act as if we've never met before when I talk to her, right? Will she remember me if I talk to her too soon, letting me know I haven't reached 16 yet?

Yes, you can get the same Fauna.

Yes, you have to move them out.

No, if it's the same Fauna and you talk to her at least once in your friend's town, she'll remember you even after you cycle 16. When you ask her to move into your town again she'll say something like "it'd be great to be neighbors again." I did the same exact thing with Marina.
