Darn near had a heart attack when I logged onto one of my towns and got the villager moving message from Isabelle! Thank goodness I had a spot open in one of my other towns, otherwise I would have lost Tia.

Really, tho...villagers should NOT be able to move with no warning like this! I talk to all my villagers every day and no one even mentioned that Tia was thinking about moving. Silly critters.

Anyway...to anyone who's lost a dreamie this way, I understand your pain. Would have been me if I hadn't been able to shift her over to one of my other towns. Whew.

Yep! You need to have two DS's and two copies of Animal Crossing when you do this, though.

And ... I know, Mothership!! My poor Nate moved from my cycling town without me knowing. I used to walk around every day to make sure he and Deirdre don't ping before I'm ready, but gosh ... it was so sad to see him go

I've never had a problem while cycling villagers I didn't want out.

I TT day by day and I always make sure to play for long enough until either someone pings me with details of their move or I talk to someone about it until they spill the beans.

I lost Sheldon and Pashmina this way, and unfortunately I had one game and one DS at the time. I'm glad you managed to save Tia, though!

Thanks, Lollipop Yeah.....I'm very lucky( and very addicted to ACNL) to have 2 3DS and multiple cartridges.

I was really getting upset about Tia, and then I remembered about the open spot in one of my other towns. Whew.

Yea really lucky..I lost Zell from a stupid TT accident and he is gone for good...I don't even have a 2nd time to let him wifi pool over =(

I have too many to even name... Marshal being harsh on my heart. Punchy, Freya, Bruce... They all moved without me able to tell them... No, Bad. Bad villager.

Marshal and Tom both played that cruel trick on me. I'm now trying to decide if I can handle 16 villager cycling to get Tom back.

Upon loading the game, always walk in front of all your villagers (esp. your dreamies) waiting for them to ping. The mover is always found outside upon loading the game for the first time. Villagers will only mention moving rumors if you talk to them long enough. It is seldom the first thing that they bring up. Also, the moving villager has to ping you if you wish to know when they'll be moving. I haven't had any nasty surprises so far and I've been playing since November.

Walk in front of them waiting for a ping.
I've never had any problems with finding out who the mover is.
