A Villager Moved In

Whoops, hope it wasn't your only one...

I had someone do a perfect landing on two peach trees and my favorite pattern stump a few days ago. Luckily I had some peaches in storage, but gnnh... I liked that stump.

Ugh, I know that feeling. >.< I had a villager move in on top of the only peach tree in town once -- needless to say, my villagers would only ask me for peaches from then on out.

That's why you ALWAYS need to have a reserve of perfect fruit :P If your PF are peaches and you don't have any left, you can have some of mine.

land on my perfect trees, land on my hybrids, but i swear to god don't land on my stumps

I honestly hope in the next AC you can choose where the animals move in.

i don't, i mean there's an easy way to manipulate it in new leaf already if you choose to. otherwise the randomness of villagers and placement in town is a unique charm of animal crossing

I have suggested, in another thread, that the mayor should have control with lots. Not so much where the villagers go to live. (They should have some choice if any exists.) But this concerns the mayor deciding where houses can be built. This way, whatever a mayor builds, or offers, in one's town will not be disrupted by an incoming villager.

^I had a similar opinion on that. I really enjoyed signboards telling you where animals could potentially move in that was in the previous games, and at the same time, I like not having to have annoying obstructions randomly placed all over my town. What would be really amazing, is if they treated those villager signboards like PWPs, and you can choose where they're placed, and in the future choose to move them wherever you please.

I just wouldn't know how to get past the loopholes of trying to move villagers houses' around while they're actually in your town, and if you wanted to remove these locations completely.. The only thing I could think of would be to have land control as soon as you start the town, but that's a lot of work before you can even play.

^ Zoning.

The zoning should be worked out at the very beginning of the game with Isabelle. Zoning for housing. Zoning for businesses or Public Works Projects. I have the type of town layout where a wide space is ideal for PWP; and then there is some ideal, specific area, close to the beach, ideal for villagers and humans. Not that it has to be that forceful. It would be nice, in future "Animal Crossing" editions, for a mayor to be empowered with that level of control.

Barold destroyed my paths too -.-

That sucks. It's a double whammy if an ugly villager lands their house on something important.

When a streetpassed or spotpassed villager moves in, you can't choose where they plant their house because you didn't anticipate when they moved in.

I really wish we can control where they land. They should come into the train station just like you do when you first come to town. You can walk them over to where you want them to build. Just a random fantasy.
