A Sad Day

Well, turns out my 2gb SD Card couldn't hold both Pokemon X and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and the AC:NL files became corrupted and didn't move correctly to my new 16gb SD card. So, I have to redownload and reset my town. I had my town, Serenity, since the release day, so it's sad to lose it all. I had thought about resetting before, but I didn't think it'd be like this.
Oh well. Now I have some work to do! The new town of Serenity will be even better than the last.

Ah, that's awful to hear, but I second what Kippla said. Be happy that you've got the opportunity to make it even better than before. I was really worried about my data being corrupted when I bought a new SD card, but thankfully I didn't lose anything.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine if you just move AC and then download Pokemon X/Y on the SD Card. I should've waited until I got a bigger card to download it ><
