A Question About Visiting and Boxed Villagers

If I have a villager in boxes and I go to visit another town, will that villager live in the town I visited if there is an open slot, or no? I've got Punchy in boxes and I'd like to save him for someone who is currently wanting him. However, I have not been able to reach this person for several days.

No, as long as they're in boxes, they're still technically your villager. They don't go into your void until they've left (without being adopted) and no longer appear in your town.

No. It can only happen if the villager is voided, even so there isn't a 100% chance of getting that villager.
