Hello~

Long story short, I had asked and convinced a villager to move into my town from the campsite, but it was with a character I deleted shortly after convincing them since I was doing some plot resetting and happened to see that the camper is someone I wanted, too. I didn't think to check in with them with my mayor after deleting that character (I talked to them with the mayor only before doing so), so now I'm paranoid they won't move in because I asked them with a now nonexistent character.

Do you think they will still come? It passed 6AM between then and now, so it's not like I can go ask her if she still will-- her tent is gone! I'd rather not TT to a few days from now to see if she is indeed there, I don't want any prized villagers to end up leaving in the process.

Did you save after inviting them? If you didn't, then I don't think they will move in. Campers do take two days to place their plot down, tho, so there's still a chance that they'll plot tomorrow.

Yup, I saved since I switched from the character I convinced her with to my mayor. I was just worried because the new character that convinced her no longer exists, and I only talked to her with my mayor BEFORE I deleted the new character.

I think they should move in still because they agreed and whoever convinced them probably isn't a big deal. Though I haven't done this and may be wrong D: but wait two to three days and see if there's a villager house placement anywhere and if all comes to worse you can find them again here on the animal crossing forums! Wish you luckkkk cx

I'd think they should move in, as is said above, they were already convinced to move in they agreed and everything.
Saving afterwards should make sure of it anyway. Deleting the charecters you used to ask them shouldn't make any difference

They're an extremely popular character haha, finding them here on the forums would entail spending some bells!

But you and LinkToTheWorld have a good point, it might not even matter who asked them, as long as they confirmed it and the game was saved afterwards. I saved, switched characters, and she still told the character I switched to that she's moving in, so it might be fine...I just worry about things easily.
