A question about plot resetting

I have been plot resetting for a good villager for over 2 hours now and I have a couple of questions about it:
1. Is it normal for no new house plot to show up sometimes?
2. Is there an easier way to determine if where the new house plot is without running around forever?
edit- 3. if you have a camper, does that mean no new house plot will show up?

1. yes its normal for no new plots to show up sometimes. A

method i did was, if there was no plot, i would save. Load a new day, no new plot? save again. i repeated this until i hit the 7th day or 9th day? i forget which day it is but on that day, a plot would always appear evrrytime i resetted.

hm Do you mean load a new day like waiting until the next day or TTing forward a day?

For TTing with a new character you start up on your mayor, then change the time to 5:57am on the next day, then save and quit. Wait a few minutes for the game to reach past 6 am then start your new character.

You can also just cjange the time on the 3DS but it may effect your other games.

I tried and failed plot resetting Dotty, but atleast she moved into a good spot!
