A question about grass rehab

I've looked at all the guides dealing with grass rehab, and cant quite find the answer to one particular question. I'm two and a half months into the process... TTing one day at a time forward, watering and buying flowers, talking to neighbors in an attempt to keep them from moving out of town, planting trees in any open areas, then TTing again. In the process I actually achieved a perfect town rating and have maintained it for 15 "days" so far... which is a nice bonus.

My question is this: What do I do when I'm done? This doesn't seem to be a concern to anyone who has written a rehab guide. I mean, do I TT back to the present all at once? If I do, won't that cause hundreds of weeds and ruin my perfect town status? If I can't do that, do I need to TT backwards one day at a time, just like I went forward? If so, seriously, I'm gonna cry. This has taken an eternity.

no, if you time travel backwards, it will be like you just time traveled back a day. no weeds would grow and the villagers would act like they just saw you a day ago.

No, in order to fix the "just grass" you have to TT forwards one day at a time, I was worried that jumping back to the current date would be damaging to my town. That would be counterproductive.

I know it's just grass, but I wanted my town to look nice again, like when everything was shiny and new. That's why I bothered with the rehab.

All you have to do is make paths. It took about two months for my grass to regrow, but now it's all back!

@Tye... true, I suppose, but I was coming back from almost complete desertification. I wanted to make sure I was in complete control of where anyone walked for the span of time when my grass was returning, plus I'm not a patient person. Check out some "before" pictures...

My town was like that too. I didn't resort to time traveling, though. It's just grass, anyway. It grows back. =P
