Ever since I started a new town on my game (Long story), my friends list isn't showing up, yet I have a friend who has New Leaf, and yes, the friends list was up in the old town before the problem occurred. Is there any solution to the problem, or did I mess it up?

Are you talking about the in-game best friend list or the 3DS friend list? The in-game best friend list gets deleted with your character, but your 3DS friend list shouldn't be affected. If you are talking about the best friend list, you'll have to visit with each of those friends and add them to your list again.
