I told this to someone just now, and they were very surprised, so I thought I'd make a thread about it just in case anyone didn't know.

You can get purple and white violets on the Butterfly Discovery Tour, but only on that tour. Other tours will only have things like red, white, and yellow roses, pansies and tulips. On that tour, I've farmed enough purple violets in one day to cover my larger beach and more ^~^ You can do the same with white violets, of course.

Well, the Gardening tours have all of the (non-hybrid) flowers...at least the more advanced versions do. They're the best for when you want to take a bunch of flowers back to your town.

I have several towns and one town only has violets (plus a few blue pansies, haven't managed to breed blue roses) - white & purple violets originally from the 2 tours - gardening & butterfly. These tours also carry yellow violets

Its got me quite a few blue violets from the cross white x purple. (according to Thonky yellow x purple and purple x purple also give blue; but not by breeding white x white like as with pansies).

My villagers plant more, plus unfortunately yellow ones which I weed out. Lief also sells them in the gardening shop.
Its my 'blue' town!
